Catholic Literary Arts Membership
We encourage ongoing growth in literary, artistic, and spiritual development of artists and writers so that the rich treasures of the Catholic Church may be more perfectly explored in artistic expression. We support all people of goodwill.
CLA provides a home for Writers of Faith. Through annual memberships, writers and readers have a chance to grow, learn, laugh, and network with each other.
We share this list of the professional accomplishments of some of our members in 2022.
Sustaining Membership: $500 annual
Benefits: two free tickets to each ticketed local event annually, other than the Gala. 10% discount to all virtual classes. Recognition in all printed program materials.
Enthusiast's Membership: $250 annual
Benefits: one free ticket to each ticketed local event annually, other than the Gala. 10% discount to all virtual classes. Recognition in all printed program materials.
Scribe's Membership: $120 annual
Benefits: 10% discount to all virtual classes. Free tickets to selected events; recognition in all printed program materials. Free quarterly critique of three poems or 15 pages (double-spaced) prose by a professional Catholic writer.
Writer's Membership: $60 annual
Benefits: 10% discount to all virtual classes. Free: quarterly critique of two poems or 10 pages (double-spaced) prose by a professional Catholic writer.
Student Members: $30 annual for high school, college, and graduate school students
Benefits: Free admission to in-person craft workshops for students. 10% discount to all virtual classes.

Donate to Catholic Literary Arts
The mission of Catholic Literary Arts is to make available to all the glory of our written heritage and the opportunity to create new expressions of God’s love. Our greatest need is educating youth to express themselves clearly and distinctly through creative writing. To this end, we produce the annual, one-week Fearless Catholic Writing Camp® at the University of St. Thomas (online in 2020) and the After-School Writing Camps at local Catholic schools. Based on need and funding, we assist parents with full or partial scholarships. You may specify your donation to support either of these camps, or make an unrestricted donation.
Tuition for one child at the one-week Fearless Catholic Writing Camp is $250.00. You may specify a school or a student to receive your scholarship. After-School Writing Camp at a Catholic school is $2,600.00 per semester. You may specify a school. Call Sarah Cortez at 713-331-9342 for more information.
