Maria Illich receives You Make a Difference Award

Mrs. Maria Illich, Director of the June 2025 Fearless Catholic Writing Camp, recently received the You Make a Difference Award at a ceremony at Cristo Rey High School. Mrs. Illich was nominated by Eden Ting, a freshman in CLA's Teen Mentorship Program.

In her nomination essay, Eden wrote: "Mrs. Illich showed me the joy in writing and gave me multiple opportunities to grow in my potential. She gave me the special attention I needed to flourish and pushed me to use my wits to create something beautiful."
