Registration Process for High School Writers Institute
1. Register
Complete the registration form.
As of May 1, 2026, the regular scholarship application for Summer Writing Camps has closed. However, if you would like to request a scholarship, you may do so by emailing Catholic Literary Arts directly at cathla.org@gmail.com. Please include a statement of need and the scholarship amount that you are requesting in your email to CLA.
If you were awarded a scholarship through your school, please complete the registration form using the blue button above and email us at cathla.org@gmail.com. Be sure to include the name of your school and the contact person at your school who worked with CLA to grant your scholarship.
2. Complete the Media/Liability Release
Please complete the media/liability release. This form is required as part of the registration process.
You have two options to complete the Media Release form:
Option 1: Download and print the Media Release form, complete it manually, and upload the pdf scan or photograph of the completed form using the embedded form below:
Option 2: Download and complete the Media Release form digitally using the editable fields found in the pdf form. Please ensure that you provide an electronic signature for your form to be considered complete. Once the form is complete, save it on your computer, then upload the completed form using the embedded form below (Note: This form can only be filled out in these two browsers -Chrome and Safari.):
3. Optional Sign-In/Sign-Out Form for HSWI Students Only
If a child’s parent/legal guardian wishes, he/she may complete the permission form for sign in and sign out permission for High School Writers Institute. This form is only for students enrolled in the High School Writers Institute.
You have two options to complete the Sign-In/Sign-Out Permission Form:
Option 1: Download and print the Permission form, complete it manually, and upload the pdf scan or photograph of the completed form using the embedded form below:
Option 2: Download and complete the Permission form digitally using the editable fields found in the pdf form. Please ensure that you provide an electronic signature for your form to be considered complete. Once the form is complete, save it on your computer, then upload the completed form using the embedded form below (Note: This form can only be filled out in these two browsers: Chrome and Safari.):
4. Pay Registration Fee
Click the applicable Pay Now button to pay for the writing camp.
You may charge your credit card through PayPal.
Your child’s registration is only valid if payment is made. Without prompt payment of tuition, a registration is invalid. We will email you to clear up registration non-payment via the email address of the parent that is supplied at registration. Please respond promptly so that your child’s place in our writing camp is assured.
